A stretch of the Bronx River Parkway was closed during a police investigation of a wrong-way crash.
The closure occurred northbound between the Cross County Parkway and the Sprain Brook Parkway.
Seven non-life threatening injuries were reported as a result of the pre-dawn incident. The wrong-way driver is in police custody with charges pending, according to CBS New York.
Farther north, icy conditions and a 7:30 a.m. crash resulted in the closure of a lane on a stretch of the southbound Saw Mill River Parkway in Mount Kisco, with stop-and-go delays stretching back to I-684.
The lane was closed at Route 117 (Exit 43).
